Happy Memorial Day!

Although I say “Happy” Memorial Day, it is only because I’m wishing you all a happy and blessed day to share with your family and friends. However, this day isn’t really one to set aside for being happy, per se. During this day we need to (no, we MUST) remember those who make our freedom and our Right to the Pursuit of Happiness possible.

For my U.S. readers, isn’t the country we live in wonderful? I know that as I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown to appreciate the sacrifices that the soldiers make for us daily and think about the ones who’ve gone before us. My Grandpa fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II and I would give anything to be able to talk to him about it (sadly, he left us in the nineties). And my Dad did serve in the Navy. Also, I have other relatives who have served this country. To those soldiers, and all of the other soldiers, I say, “Thank you. May God go with you and you fight for this country.”

For my other readers, I hope that you remember your soldiers fondly, too. I’m sure you do.

Blessings!
